Self Love

Practice daily self-care activities such as exercise, healthy eating, and getting enough sleep.

• Set boundaries and learn to say no to things that don't align with your values or goals.

• Practice positive self-talk and replace negative thoughts with positive ones.

• Surround yourself with people who uplift and support you.

• Take time for hobbies and activities you enjoy.

• Practice gratitude and focus on the things in your life that you are thankful for.

• Be kind and compassionate to yourself, as you would be to a friend.

• Remember that self-love is a journey, not a destination. Be patient and kind to yourself as you work towards a more positive self-image.

Marry Your Rapist

How on earth can a crime, a sin like rape be converted into something as sacred as marriage? Just for the sake of honour the society hands over the woman to a criminal, but you never know he might rape his own daughter in future just like the mother, then what? Would you ask the daughter to marry her own father? Or what if he goes on raping twenty more women, would ask him to marry each of them. Will marriage make him any less of a sinner or a criminal? How can marriage exonerate him from his crimes? A rapist needs to be punished and not married. Marriage won't make him a husband, he will always be a rapist. A husband's duties involve protecting his wife, a rapist doesn't have the psychological makeup to do so. these laws in various countries which allow rapists to marry the victim are just nonsensical and were designed by patriarchal societies who think that marrying the victim to the rapist will protect their honours. Maybe marriage might shield the scandal but a rapist will remain a rapist until punished and reformed and marriage definitely can't reform him. And in the name of marriage and honour, you ask the women to get raped every day.  He needs to get proper punishment, such stupid laws only encourage them to do such crimes. These lawmakers of such countries not only need to revoke such laws and give proper punishment to criminals but also provide proper assistance to the rape survivors. But just the changes in law will not help such victims, the societies need to change, instead of pointing fingers at the victims and their families they need to understand and support them.   https://www.nytimes.com/2017/07/22/world/middleeast/marry-your-rapist-laws-middle-east.html?smid=tw-nytimesworld&smtyp=cur

Numb

If I could I would tie back the hands of time

To just once again listen to the whisper of that smile

And then maybe it will bring back the lost and divine

Wandering peace of my mind.

I am looking for you and you are looking for a place to hide

Tell me you won’t come along

And give me the strength to survive.

I have got to sail my way back

I am sick of chasing and running around

Somewhere along the bitterness

I broke an ignited dream and I left you astound.

Revealed my sins, and hopes succumb

Washed my hands off your memory

Till everything went numb.

Iphone 6 – Owning a Luxury

An Iphone is an accessory for both men and women, more than a mobile phone or an electronic gadget. The craze for buying the upcoming models of Iphone never goes down neither among youth nor the elite class of the society. Owning an Iphone is something you can flaunt and show off. The coming of a new model Iphone 6 has created a lot of buzz in town with a lot of speculations and expectation. But what more could you expect, you already have an Iphone.I India  Iphone pre orders have already hit the record breaking number of 4 million according to what is revealed by Apple. Even if the price of the Iphone is high the craze among the people for them is directly proportional to the price. The Iphone 6 plus is more of a phablet then just a phone with a sleek appearance, best camera, bigger size, longer battery and iOS 8, what else could you ask for. But you people might have to wait a little more for its launch in India, which has been postponed to November. So folks have a little more patience till you  get to flaunt your Iphone 6 this coming Christmas and new year.

Deepika Padukone's Cleavage-Important or not?

From past one week Deepika Padukones cleavage has become the talk of the town, whether its facebook or twitter, newspapers or television the cleavage discussion is on everywhere. So everyone is upset with TOI for using the caption “cleavage show” on one of the paparazzi picture of Deepika Padukone to which Deepika had tweeted, “I am a woman, I have got breasts and a cleavage, you  got a problem. Don’t talk about woman empowerment if u can’t respect woman.” And to this TOI replied,   “Its OK to drool over men’s bodies and its different when it comes to females”.  People have got eyes they can see and tongues to talk about what they see. You want to flaunt your body and then you don’t want people to talk about it and that too when you yourself are into show business. In showbiz celebs go out in front of the camera to flaunt some or the other thing and it’s not in your hands who notices what. And it’s unfair to talk about women’s respect when flaunting is what you do for promotions, media coverage’s and publicity. Moreover how does talking about woman empowerment in this case does justice to those women who actually are oppressed. When you take words like sexy, seductive and ravishing as compliments how was this caption even offensive. When they talk about women’s assets in item numbers, where do all the feminists go at that time.  And since you are a public figure you should be less sensitive to such things Everyone has a particular perspective about everything and till the time its not illegal everybody is entailed to a point of view. People now should stop discussing about the cleavage as we have some serious issues to talk about in India. We got save the women who are oppressed and stand for those who got raped instead of arguing over the cleavage of some celebrity.

Love or Arranged

Like most of the girls I grew up dreaming of finding the prince charming and fantasizing about true love. Always tried to find my perfect man in every guy I met, I never had much of a checklist for the perfect guy, like some of us but looked for someone who was financially secure and had a status in the society. Though I missed out on something called true love.  But mostly I fell for romance and flattery. Now when it’s the time to actually dive in even I am fed  up of my infatuations.  My parents have the line up of suitable guys ready. Although I am okay with idea of arranged marriage but somewhere living life with a random stranger makes me nervous. On the positive side I feel  someone  from your caste, your religion and your background and with parental approval can make things much easier in the longer run. Most of us are certain that our parents cant be the best people to choose our life partner but looking at my failed relationships I have to give it a shot. Maybe  I find that spark in someone they choose for me. Looking  forward to it as a platform to meet someone interesting. Marriage is a life time commitment but arranged marriage comes with deeper understanding , love and respect  not only between the couple but the two families. My parents had an arranged marriage and for me they are the happiest couple.  So I am hopeful to find my eternal happiness in someone they choose for me.

Strange and Scary

Feeling  strange Feeling Scary
Wanted to live life like a fairy
Unaware of the visible reality
Life sometimes can be more of practicality
Want to make it simple, want to make it straight
Whether its right or whether its fate
Why life has to be blue and gray?
Make it shine, Make it okay
Let us bond and free our soul
Before its late, take control
Don’t feel strange Don’t feel scary
Opinions of folks always vary
Spread your essence and let all know
You are not strange and nothing below
Give love and seek love for all
Show passion and no one will make you crawl
So don't feel strange don’t feel scary

The world can be heaven and you can be a fairy.
